Choosing love instead of fear is what led us to the Equip Mudra. A turn towards trust, full surrender and light in my second pregnancy. From the very first moment it felt like a wonderful chance to experience this process again, this time well supported, allowing us to relive and relearn, to understand and place our experiences, to keep informing ourselves and sharing, surrounded by love and an attentive gaze.
The support of the Equip Mudra made possible one of the best experiences of our lives. An incredible home birth, a fluid, serene, intimate and healing arrival. Pure life, magic and awareness. The power of love. Trust that becomes body. Thoughts that dissolve. A precise, safe, peaceful path. The midwives above all help me allow the birth to happen, without interruptions or obstacles. They do nothing, they only help me be strong, believe it is possible, and fully connect with my power. We are all connected and we feel cared for, loved. At last the moment comes, and like a rocket our baby arrives, and we, once again with him, are reborn too and return, in a different way, to LIFE.
We had the advantage of it being the second time we went through this process; much of the work we had already begun 4 years earlier with the birth of our first child, and now we had everything we needed to go deeper into this life transformation, and to do it the way we wanted, without fears or doubts, just trusting and surrendering fully. And so it was: one fine Epiphany day, the very day I was due, Lluc announced that the party was starting, and with a short labour he made his way so we could reach the pushing stage together, where, surprising us with just 3 contractions, he was out of my body, in a way so easy and organic as I had never experienced in anything before in my life. The best gift was being able to live it all on our own, at home, normalising the physiology of birth and believing in the wonder and wisdom of life, of our bodies. The midwives arrived at that very instant, when we had already welcomed our son, and they supported us through the immediate postpartum in the best possible way, as if they too were part of this growing family; in fact, from that moment on they are part of it. As life would have it, during labour we had an interruption and, to protect our space, our moment, we locked the front door, which meant the midwives couldn’t reach us when they arrived, but in truth they were with us the whole time, we felt them there. And they were able to come in when we really needed them. We experienced this as something positive, even though it wasn’t what we had imagined at first. We had never planned to give birth on our own at home, and now that we have, it seems to us the best possible option, if we ever do it again. For now we’re kept nicely busy.
