Giving birth in a familiar, comfortable and safe environment,
where mother and baby take centre stage

Professional, personalised and respectful care in your own home throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Our role as midwives is to protect your privacy, respecting at all times the physiological rhythm of each stage of birth and the position each woman finds

more comfortable, even in water, assessing at every moment the needs of each woman, each baby and each family.

Our home birth service includes:

• Usually, before the first visit, there has been an initial contact with the Team to get to know each other, at one of our information visits, to see if there’s a good connection, clear up any doubts about home birth, and understand what’s leading you to make this decision….
• Once the decision to have support is firm, we begin the support:

During pregnancy:

• A minimum of 3 pregnancy follow-up visits before 36 weeks, to build a relationship of trust and intimacy with the team’s midwives. We will also work on expectations, fears, limitations…
• Pregnancy follow-up visits from week 36 until the birth, on an individual basis, depending on your needs and/or ours.
• Home visit at 36 weeks, to get to know your home and your birth companions, where applicable.
• From week 37 we will be available for you until the birth, 24 hours a day, waiting for your call.
• From week 36 until the day of birth, we will arrange visits around weeks 38, 40, 41…

During the birth:

• When the big day arrives, you will contact us by phone.
• We will accompany you through early labour, if needed with visits and/or telephone contact, as many times as necessary.
• We will accompany you through labour and attend the birth.
• To help you throughout the birth process, we have tools such as: birthing pool, massage, local heat, birth balls, acupressure, Bach flower remedies, homeopathy, aromatherapy….
• We will provide the necessary care for you and your baby with no need for separation or unnecessary interventions.
• The umbilical cord will always be clamped after it has stopped pulsating; we will encourage the establishment of the mother-baby bond and the start of breastfeeding.
• We will leave your home when you feel the need to be alone and everything is in harmony.

Postpartum:

• Postpartum follow-up visits at 24-48 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 15 days, 30 days and 40 days. And more visits depending on each couple’s needs.
• Care and monitoring of the mother’s physical and emotional wellbeing.
• Care and monitoring of the baby’s physical condition: weight, length, head circumference, assessment of the belly button, sleep, stools, urination…
• Breastfeeding follow-up.
• Heel prick test, where applicable.
• Recommendations and care of the pelvic floor
• In addition, at the six-week visit we will assess the pelvic floor and talk about contraception, changes in the baby, feeding, sleep, breastfeeding and any questions that may arise. And we will close the support process with the “Cerrada” ritual.

The price of the full service is 2600€ paid in instalments:

• 600€ at the start of the service.
• 2000€ when the on-call period begins.
• km and other costs  at the end of the service.

* Travel to visits carried out at your home will be charged at 0,30€/km, counting from each midwife’s home.

Pregnancy follow-up visits will take place at our space, and the remaining visits will be offered at the family home.
