Neural Therapy is a form of integrated medicine or integrative health; it is a concept that combines scientific medicine with alternative or complementary therapies. Integrative health understands the person as a whole and the body as a mechanism regulated by the nervous system, which connects the more emotional side with the more organic and physiological aspects, controlling the functions of organs and tissues.
Neural therapy looks for the points of irritation in this nervous tissue, which appear throughout our lives (scars, injuries, surgery, infections, emotional stress…). These points of irritation can disrupt our autonomic nervous system, causing symptoms such as pain, tension, inflammation and loss of sensitivity…..
The treatment consists of administering micro-injections of local anaesthetic (procaine) at very low doses into these points of irritation, which are identified beforehand through your life history (at the first visit). The aim is to re-polarise the cells that have become depolarised so they recover their function and their capacity for self-regulation.
